inspector general charles willoughby issued a report that concluded that the department of employment services did not provide the department staff with adequate training which allowed the fraud to gun detected. we have another audit of -- go undetected. we have another audit set to get going this month. do we really need another audit to tell us that the department of employment services can't do its job? there are two points i want to make. one, as a district resident you have to be extremely disappointed that once problems are detected in how the city conducts its business the problems aren't fixed. it's hike the story line of the movie groundhog -- like the story line of the movie groundhog day. the city needs to tighten controls and processes and provide better training and supervision. two, it's a tough job to run a city the size of washington effectively and efficiently. it becomes nearly impossible if some of the citizens are lining up to defraud the city and short circuit its efforts to serve all its residents. that's my take. let me know what you think. go to www.myfoxdc.com
