we've seen heavy rain in this area across 95 as well including wilmington and newark. but we're also continuing to see heavy rain in that area. and then we have it for gloucester and salem counties. that flood advisory 8:30 tonight until 8:30 because of the heavy rain we've been watching. now, here is a wide view. we're also watching storms leaving the baltimore area approaching delaware. this cluster of storms has a lot of lightning in it very heavy rain, winds could be near 60 miles an hour. the possibility of small hail. that's a severe storm. it's traveling to the northeast around 40 miles an hour. it moves faster than the other ones in the area currently. so by middletown it should be there by about 6:29. alloway, 7:01. we are continuing to watch more storms approach the area. now, we move along the shore. ocean city still seeing rain egg harbor still seeing rain across the ac expressway. and this is continuing to move forwards the shore and push offshore. but either way, we've seen up to 2 inches so far along this area. flood advisory until 7:30. and another flas

newark wilmington, 295, 95 up into the philadelphia area. a lot of lightning moving into chester county now. this one right near new garden. and about 48 lightning strikes only in the past 15 minutes. these are very slow moving storms, a lot of these will be sitting in the same area for a while only traveling around 10 to 20 miles an hour. and around the philadelphia area like i mentioned, lower marion 476 and 76 95 near chester. heavy rain there, as well. very slow moving storms. so ones near the shore, still across the ac expressway moving into atlantic city right now, a lot of lightning, heavy rain, this stretches down into parts of cape may county. for the rest of this evening, tracking these storms and the heavy rain. i'll show you a time line of what to expect for the rest of tonight coming up. >>> thank you, sheena. >> you know, for one thing, airport delays out at philadelphia international. let's check in with nbc 10. watching her network of cameras live in the first alert traffic center. jessica? >> yeah guys right now, first, we a

rainfall filling in from the south and west and you can see heavy rainfall continues around newark, wilmington back into the pennsville and piles grove areas in sections of south jersey and also still raining along sections down the shore right now. lighter rainfall, however but that heavy rain that is going to continue overnight. so we still have the flash into the watch in effect the entire area through 6am so we're monitoring the roads and also ponding so if you encounter flooded roadways find an alternate route turn around don't drown. as we take a look, you can see by midnight we're still looking at that boundary draped across the area. very heavy rain will continue for south jersey and sections of delaware, but by tomorrow morning, 7:00 a.m., it looks like the heaviest of the rainfall will push out to sea. but we will still have some fog low clouds and pockets of showers across the area to start tomorrow morning and more rainfall expect expected tomorrow during the day. i'll have the timing of that as well as cooler temperatures how cool it will get tomorrow coming up. back to you. >> al

wilmington, claymont looking at that heavy rainfall right now. moving toward sections of that area, just looking at downpours. we will zoom in closer and you can see what is happening around newark area pike creek hockessin, delaware area wilmington i-95, 495 moving towards the new jersey turnpike just looking at downpours right now across parts of the area, with this particular cell, right now still raining heavily as well as thunderstorm activity moving through pennsville, that cell is moving toward pilesgrove area just be on the look out for torrential downpours. what is happening around the philadelphia area right now. we are still looking at heavier rainfall off to the west of the philadelphia and center city a area but we will zoom in closer right now and see lower merion back toward drexel hill , marple, media ridley, looking at heavy rainfall. the yellow an orange that you see. some of this is just a off to the west of the center city area but that rainfall is moving in over the next half an hour or so and we are looking at torrential downpours, from that activity as well. we're under a flash flood watch right now through the overnight, through 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning

it's right over newark wilmington and the i-95 corridor. it will be moving into new jersey soon.upper darby, lower merion this is on your door stop. also the philadelphia area. all this heavy rain and high winds, abington you will see this very soon here. wynmore, you will see this soon too. a very dangerous storm across the area. i will loop this so you can see the motion that it has to it. again, that tornado warning we have been talking about, that actually did expire. it was not extended. just back off to the west north of baltimore, there is another tornado warning. that's outside of our area but we will be watching those storms to see if they progress and intensify as they move into or area. this is approaching philadelphia. it's moving to the east around 35 miles an hour. i will break up the sections so maybe you will be able to see your city in this. we will start with the philadelphia area lower montgomery county. areas in the path of this storm as it travels to the east around 30 or 35 miles an hour i should say, these areas include upper darby, 5:50. philadelphia 5:59.
