in at 45 degrees. 36 in leaseberg, down to the freezing mark in winchester, 44 in fredericksburg. it is a chilly evening as our storm system moved on by. that's it for the rain for us but back to the west, a completely different story. this is a monster storm in the denver area. they're expecting one to two feet of snow, upwards of 50 miles an hour winds. they already reported upward of 10 inches south and east of denver, too. this is is a big one for them. there this is a classic type of snowstorm, snow to the north and severe weather to the south. this is looking more and more potent for our area. it's not going to be anything like this is out there but we'll have to watch it closely. here comes that next storm and i do think now that there could be enough cold air that some of us could see some snowflakes overnight saturday night into the day on sunday. this is still a very tough forecast. we're still watching this one very, very closely but right now it does not look like we're going to see a whole lot from this but i do expect to see some rain and now maybe some snow. stay tu

it includes winchester out to the mountains and it's a heavy, wet snow. so if i lived out there, i would do what i can to protect myself just in case we have power problems because of heavy, wet snow. for the rest of us, the track of this storm will be so important and 48 hours away. so this thing could still change just a little bit by 50 miles. we're watching that track. here's roughly where we think this track is going to be. it's just slightly south of where it was yesterday, which would really only just barely put d.c. into the snow in a very sharp cutoff into maryland, where you may not see very much, if anything, towards hagerstown. a north or south shift will affect the snow amounts with this system. so that is what we still have to nail down 48 hours out. it's a safe bet we will see snow around here. the amounts in question, but starting to focus south and west for the heavier amounts and we'll give you our best shot, even if it is 48 hours away. here is future cast. you have nothing to worry about tomorrow, even as late as 10:00. look how d.c. i
