actually, north winchester is where this apartment building behind us was affected.und 330 this morning. now, you won't see any evidence of this fire because it happened in one of the apartment units inside the building on the third floor. luckily, the sprinkler system triggered and put the fire out. but you do see some santa clara fire department vehicles out here. they're still on scene. and then to our left, you see, all the people living in 40 to 50 apartment units here who had to be evacuated as a precaution, a bit of a rude awakening for the folks out here at 330 in the morning. now, the good news is, no one was hurt. they don't know the cause of this fire, but some of the residents told us that 3.30 this morning is when they saw smoke coming from one of the apartment units, and firefighters say they are investigating exactly what happened. and what triggered that fire to begin with. but the entire building, apartment building on 79 north winchester in santa clara had to be evacuated. firefighters say that there are 18 people who won't be able to go back to the
