, it gets windy for about a 2 to 3 hour window, tonight. we can watch it on future gas, take a look to the upper left- hand corner of your screen and you will see a well-defined line. that is the cold front. two things happen on that line. first, you get your strongest wind gusts. what's that passover the east bay hills in the heart of the bay and watch the numbers take up on the wind speed as it does that. when it gets down to the santa cruz mountains, you will see a 78 mile gust down there. that is the burn scar paul was just talking about, at least one of them. that is the burn scar for the czu, where we could see gust around 70 at 1:00 in the morning. but, gust at your house, too, perhaps to 40 or 50 about the next 3 to 4 hours. this is really going to be primetime. windy and cold where i am. there certainly is a wind chill appear. when you factor into the 30 mile our guest-feeling, temperatures appear in the upper 30s, the wind chill where i am standing feels like upper 20s. stay at the lower elevations where it is nice and warm. more

it was windy at her house. it'll be windy at your house. the winds have gotten in to the lower elevations today. not as strong as the mountains but strong enough that this will be a factor today. look at san mateo. 44-mile an hour gusts. fremont gusting to 37. maybe not as strong in san jose but it's still gusting to 20 miles an hour there. what happens next? we will take it from where it is now. we will switch from the current gusts and put this into the future cast. you will notice the colors get a little brighter here as we get into the late morning and early afternoon. taking us ahead to 9:20. 10:00 and now we are seeing gusts closer to 50 at times. in many of the communities around the bay. so it won't last long at those speeds. it'll only seem like it gets a little stronger than it is now. the take away as we get in to the late morning and early afternoon today the intensity of the wind will pick up. then once we get toward the afternoon it'll start to turn off. by sunset things will get better. similar story up here in the north bay.

and it'll get windy as well.ot as windy as the last storm but still, windy on monday, so that we see 40 mile an hour gusts, we have 60 miles an hour of wind last tuesday. how are we doing for rainfall so far this year? you go back to last saturday, last weekend. san jose had only gotten 17% of the amount of rain it should have got. if you look at today, a big jump, thanks to all that rain. san jose really did better than most of the bay area with the storm, here's the comparison with san francisco. we were at 26% last saturday, now we are at 41% and that's more representative of most of the bay sitting right around that 40% range in terms of where we are on rainfall. let's get into the seven-day forecast, you can see that we've got that rain for monday and tuesday, a few leftover showers on tuesday, but then it will clear out by the middle and late part of next week and look at that map, upper 60s coming our way for inland spots, plenty of sunshine. emily, back over to you. >>> this week students rising above sch
