windy day in our area. nbc 10 camera in center city where the sidewalks were wet from overnight rain. things are overcast though it seems like the rain moved out. nbc 10 chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwartz is here with a closer look at this slow-moving storm. >> are these winds hepping to blow it out of here, glenn? >> this karcase the winds are gg around and around and around. this is a nor'easter. we've been telling you about for a week now. the winds come around from the northeast on one side and this gigantic circulation is just spinning and spinning and spinning in the same spot. so it takes a while for it to move out, but what we've seen today, the radar echos instead of moving from northeast to southwest are starting to move to the northeast. and that has really helped things. but the wind, you can see coming out of the northwest, the gusts now 30 miles an hour in portions of the area. so it's going to take a while for the wind to die down, and for the temperature to go back up. but it will happen just in time for the weekend. all those details coming up in just a fe
