wisconsin does not have that. wisconsin has a better way of doing it.y have a more good government technocratic model for the nation way of doing it. so naturally wisconsians say they would now like to get rid of it. after this last election, that he doesn't like the way the government accountability board has been ruling. he wants it to be reconstituted in a more partisan way. he wants the member to be political appointees. that's the republican who heads the senate, and the republican who heads the assembly also says he is open to that idea. both of those republican legislators independent voted in favor of creating the government accountability board in first place back in 2007. they voted for it. they voted to create this thing, along with every other republican in the legislature at the time. but now, now they say it's got to go. it's not partisan enough. and they know just how to fix that. so what ought to be a model for the nation in terms of nonpartisan good government neutral elections administration, the wisconsin republicans are trying to tea

you saw the response in wisconsin. their walker survived the fight. i assume this will be as big, if not bigger, and the uaw, of course, the unions are even stronger in michigan than they are in wisconsin, so, you know, this will be a six-month, year-long process. i don't know what the recall was in michigan compared to wisconsin, but i expect this is the beginning of a long fight, and we'll see who comes out in the end, but it's bad news for the unions to have to be on defense this way when they're already having so many other challenges. >> we should bring up the dynamics in michigan that are different. snyder had said all along he was not going to do this, and then to do -- you know, and whereas in wisconsin people thought, well, maybe recalling. they were more sort of divided about whether or not the recall was the right answer to what had happened. i think that's going to be a much easier message to push in michigan, and then you have two things. labor is fully ready to be there as long as they need to be there. they've got their same apparatus a

that's thundersnow from madison, wisconsin. the third major winter storm of the season knocked out power to 400,000 homes in nine states. the southern part of the storm, waking parts of alabama up with severe thunderstorms and an ef-1 tornado. the storm now moves northeast.

wisconsin and iowa., 50-mile-per-hour wind gusts, but wisconsin most likely, this is really the quadrant of concern. it's moved out of omaha, toward des moines, and really areas of wisconsin, some places, milwaukee, 12, 13, 14 inches of snow. and some of these places like chicago haven't seen snow yet this winter, believe it or not. so it is their first time. and it will be quite a storm. not only in terms of the snow, but in terms of the really powerful winds. so big picture, classic storm, there it is, there's, of course, the cold side with the storm. and then, of course, along it, showers and thunderstorms and tornado warnings. so blizzard warnings in wisconsin and iowa, tornado warnings in mississippi and alabama. here's a look at where that thread is. this is the blizzard warning. meaning, of course, 9 to 12 inches of snow, visibilities less than 1/4 mile. we're going to watch the storm move out. but even in omaha where the snow has gone, stopped falling, anyway. the strong winds are blowing it arou
