melinda: wisn 12 news time is 4:33. election officials in wisconsin hope to have the presidential recount finished one week from today. workers in milwaukee will spend today sorting through the city's 65,000 absentee ballots. that's a new record. they will start work at at 8:00 this morning. during the recount yesterday, the clinton campaign picked up 13 votes in racine county. those voters were not counted on election night due to non-standard pens used to mark ballots. the recount must be finished by next tuesday the federally mandated deadline. the green party is covering the cost of the recount. >> packers are back on the 500 mark and the players have their eyes o tennessee playoffs. a very frozen afternoon at lambeau field. the packers taking 7-0 lead into the half time and tied up in the together back to back drives. >> i think it really talks about where we are as a team and you know, injuries are unfortunate part about it, but the guys are coming back and off the injuries and battling through it. every game is a

wisn 12 news' tim elliott is following the details. tim? tim: cosby is accused of drugging and then assaulting a woman in pennsylvania back in 2004. she is one of dozens of women who have accused cosby of assault. those other allegations will be the focus of a court hearing today. a judge needs to decide if their testimonies should be allowed in 13 other women could testify depending on the judge's decision. this hearing is expected to last two days. cosby has pleaded not guilty and denies all of the accusations. the trial is set to begin in june. adrienne: new this morning, a police officer in texas is out of the hospital after being hit by a driver. the crash was caught on camera last week. the officer was conducting a sobriety test by the side of the road when another driver hit the officer pushed his dui suspect out of the way potentially saving his life. that driver was not hurt although he was arrested for dui. >> his own safety was the least of his concerns at the moment, he was concerned for the welfare of the person he was dealing

melinda: wisn 12 news time is 6:37. new this morning, the front landing collapses as a plane lands in texas. andy: the skywest flight was on its way from houston to monterrey, mexico yesterday but had to make an emergency landing. a passenger from another plane captured the moment the plane's front wheel gave way. the pilot had diverted the flight to san antonio where the plane's nose gear collapsed after landing. crew members deployed emergency slides and evacuated the passengers. thankfully, no one was injured. skywest is still looking into the exact cause of that landing gear issue. andy: also new this morning, a baby born in mid air on a flight to orlando. melinda: other passengers stepped in to help when the mother went into labor you can hear the infant crying on this cell phone video captured by another passenger. two doctors and a nurse helped deliver the baby boy. the southwest jet made an emergency landing in charleston. emt's met the plane and took the parents and newborn to the hospital. >> wisn 12 news time

wisn 12 news at 5:00 continues. wildfires in tennessee. you can see the shells of burned houses and scorched trees. national park officials say the fires that reached the popular tourist town of gatlinburg on monday started days earlier on a trail in the mountains. at least seven people have died. the fire has burned through 15,000 acres of land. thousands of residents and tourists have been evacuated. you can see that devastation there. and it's a one-two punch in tennessee. crews are assessing the damage after more than a dozen week. five people have died after the storms hit alabama, louisiana, mississippi, as well as tennessee. officials say between the fire and this storm, more than 700 buildings have been damaged or destroyed. patrick: developing tonight, former astronaut buzz aldrin is recovering in a hospital in new zealand. he had a health scare during a visit to the south pole. the 86-year-old was part of a tourist group. the national science foundation says his condition deteriorated, and as a precaution, the decision was made t

wisn 12 news time now is 5:39. new this morning, the front landing collapses as a plane lands in texas. andy: the skywest flight was on its way from houston to monterrey, mexico yesterday but had to make an emergency landing. a passenger from another plane captured the moment the plane's front wheel gave way. the pilot had diverted the flight to san antonio where the plane's nose gear collapsed after landing. crew members deployed emergency slides and evacuated the passengers. thankfully, no o skywest is still looking into the exact cause of that landing gear issue. andy: also new this morning, a baby born in mid air on a flight to orlando. melinda: other passengers stepped in to help when the mother went into labor yesterday. you can hear the infant crying on this cell phone video captured by another passenger. two doctors and a nurse helped the southwest jet made an emergency landing in charleston. emt's met the plane and took the parents and newborn to the hospital. >> wisn 12 news time is 5:41. construction hal
