we're looking out to the east from our wncn studios. cars on the belt lineup cruising along just fine, not expect -- line, cruising along just fine towards moore and hope county, and that's the warmest temperatures around. 59 in raeford, and north and east that's where some chillier air is, 48 in roanoke rapids, 49 in rocky mount. the rain is starting to move into north carolina, but these are just scattered showers out ahead of what we'll call the main line and that line expected to come through with this cold front late this afternoon into the evening hours. but the set up, ideal to see this warm front lifting across the area so all of this warm filtering into central north carolina, there's plenty of moisture with the system. heavy rain first and foremost and embedded in that the chance for strong to severe storms. 8:00 we should be dry. lunchtime we're starting to see those scattered showers ahead of the main line back towards the charlotte area. we could be talking about damaging wind gusts and could not rule out an isolated tornad
