the chief of police here in watertown told wolf blitzer in an exclusive kn interview about what went into that night's events. >> we had a couple of thousand police officers on the scene. the turnout was incredible, the support that we got from the state and from the region. so we had the tactical people to be able to close that scene in and secure it. we did take our time to make sure that everybody was safe in the neighborhood. an eventually we had to use some flash bangs to render the suspect -- >> what is a flash bang shlths it's a loud compression that would stun somebody for a short period of time then we began negotiations over a 15-minute period. we were able to get him to stand up and sthou us he didn't have a device on him. >> but at that time they said they didn't question him. he was taken by ambulance to the hospital, don. >> how are people doing in that neighborhood on the street in are they still in shock? >> reporter: well, i mean, some people are but it feels a lot different today. people are far more relaxed to a great degree. they want to come out an see everything

i'm wolf blitzer, you're in "the situation room." north korea's warning war could break out at any moment. now there may be new reason to fear that kim jong-un's threat of a nuclear attack are more serious than the world thought before. let's go to our pentagon correspondent chris lawrence. chris, does the u.s. still think north korea is going to test the missile? >> reporter: they think it is a matter of time at this point, although obviously they would prefer he not conduct that test. they have seen north korea move two missiles to the east coast, they have seen him raise the launcher and then lower it, but they're not sure if that means kim may be backing off his threat or if they're just testing out before firing. key thing to look for, tomorrow night, sunday night our time, it is already april 15th in korea. that's the birthday of north korea's founder. a lot of folks we talk to say they expect to see a test on or before that date. >> what about the new intelligence assessment coming from the penalty gone that north korea may be

i'm wolf blitzer. two weeks after the terror attacks here in the united states russia launches an attack on suspected jihadists half a world away. russia forces raided a militant group with possible ties to the suspected boston bomber tamerlan tsarnaev. russia says two of the jihadists thatere killed in the raid in dagestan. meanwhile, the bombing suspect dzhokhar tsarnaev is now locked inside a 10 x 10 foot cell with a steel door, a slot for food and a small observation window in that door. a prison spokesman says the 19-year-old is now able to speak and has been interacting with medical staff. and a memorial for the victims continues to grow in boston's copley square. thousands of people are going there to pay their respects. we have reporters on the scene bringing us all the latest developments. investigators right now are searching for any clues that will help them determine whether the boston bombings suspect tamerlan tsarnaev had tied to jih jihadist. and that overnight raid in russia is raising
