i'm wolf blitzer reporting from washington.arrested in great britain on suspicion of preparing to travel to syria to join isis. this follows the weekend arrest of three british teens who police were believed to be headed to syria. the three young men have since returned to london where they face tore roar charges. they're now free on bail. atika shubert is joining the story in london. what are you learning about this fourth arrest atika? >> reporter: the most recent arrest happened in birmingham. a teenager there was arrested around 7:00 in the morning before he even had a chance to get on the plain to go to syria. it clearly shows that police are being much more proactive about this communicating well with turkish authorities in stopping those three teenagers over the weekend and perhaps most importantly communicating with families and the community. the police today launched a campaign specifically reaching out to mothers and families asking them to keep watch over than sons and especially their daughters. there's a lot of co

i'm brianna keilar in for wolf blitzer. somber scenes playing out in a serene setting. families of the victims of those aboard flight 9525 are making a grim pilgrimage to the crash site in the french alps. on a beautiful note many local residents there have opened up their homes to the families. karl penhaul joining us now live from near the crash site. and karl we're hearing that authorities are working to build a road so that relatives can actually get as close as possible to the site, right? >> reporter: good evening to you, brianna. yeah that's absolutely the case. because up until now, recovery teams have had to fly into the crash site by helicopter because the terrain is just too rugged to get in there on foot. and so the village mayor here yesterday morning september ant a digger a grader a backhoe into that action. the job is to carve into the mountainside and make a track there so that rescue teams can get there on foot or on atvs. and progress in fact has been surprisingly quick. they've already got about 400 yards of that tract done. they've reckoned they've

i'm wolf blitzer reporting from washington. following the breaking news a horrible plane crash, the germanwings airbus a320 went down in the french alps earlier this morning. take a look at these pictures, new pictures we're getting. this is the area where this plane went down. the elevation around 6,000 feet. the french interior minister says the flight data recorder has been found at the crash site. they're still looking for the cockpit voice recorder those two so-called black boxes. meanwhile, officials are telling us the plane is obliterated and there is no sign of life. 144 passengers six crew members were on board. helicopters have been flying over the crash site but they have not been able, we're told, to land. crews are in this zone of the crash. but the terrain, as you can see from these pictures extremely difficult to reach. some of the searchers may have to ski to the site we're told. let's go to cnn's hala gorani. she's in london and watching what's going on. hala, i understand you've spoken to officials in france.

i'm wolf blitzer reporting from washington.resident obama and his family head to selma, alabama, this weekend to mark the anniversary of the historic civil rights march. in a new cnn poll four in ten americans now say race relations in the united states have actually gotten worse under the country's first african-american president. in this new cnn/orc poll only 15% say race relations have gotten better while 39% say they've gotten worse. in may of 2009 just a few months into president obama's term 32% thought race relations were better. just 6% said they were worse. in a radio interview that aired this morning, the president said he's concerned that younger americans feel far-removed from the civil rights struggle. >> this isn't ancient history. i worry sometimes our kids black or white, they are in a classroom and they see the "i have a dream" speech during black history month and they kind of think this is something way back in the past. you know this is something that happened within my lifetime. >> major turning point for

i'm wolf blitzer in washington. we start with the breaking news. the horrific suicide attacks in yemen's embattled capital city of sanaa where suicide bombers targeted mosques during friday prayers. the toll at least, at least 120 people dead more than 300 people injured. now, just as they did with the tunisian museum attack on tuesday, isis is claiming responsibility for this attack in yemen. moments ago we heard this from the white house spokesman, josh earnest, talking about that isis claim. >> we are still investigating to determine whether or not there are actually command and control structures in place that may provide some evidence to substantiate the claim that isil was involved in these attacks. at this point there is no indication that there is an operational link but that is still being investigated by our national security professionals. but there is no doubt that the kind of extremism that is a part of isil is endemic in other places in the country -- in the region. what we are seeing at least in this case we are seeing extremists try
