ktvu's claudine wong joining us live, she's in san jose.'s concern there could be more victims. claudine. reporter: certainly, dave, this investigation is ongoing. we have confirmed for you this morning, though, that this officer is free after spending about 10 hours behind bars here at the main santa clara county jail. investigators are focused on 44- year-old san jose police officer patrick d'arrigo. he has been a police officer for the past 17 years, but for the past couple of years he's been under investigation himself. now, according to the mercury news, the investigation began when reports started coming in about d'arrigo having parties with teenagers and alcohol at his gilroy home. sources told the merc that two possible molestation victims were identified but charges weren't filed recently until a witness came forward. yesterday a grand jury handed down an indictment and d'arrigo was arrested. he was booked about 3:30 in the afternoon at the main county jail, but then was released this morning after boasting bail -- posting bail. sa

ktvu claudine wong is in cupertino to talk about a gas leak that lead to a big explosion. claudine. >> reporter: good morning, dave. we have been showing you this garage door all morning long. it shows you the force of the education ex-- the force of the explosion. take a looks at the town home. you can see the explosion that went up going through the roof and leaving holes in the roof of the town home. it's also charred by the fire that came afterwards. they did get the fire out for the most. they rescued the family pet inside. getting the gas turned off that caused all of this that was a bigger problem. it took 90 minutes to turn off the gas. pg&e had to dig three times before they got the gas shut off. you are looking at one of the holes this morning that is ten feet from the explosion. that is causing concern when you consider all the issues that came out of san bruno. a report out this week the ntsb expedite the installation of shut off valves and remote control valves. the other question this morning is how all this happened. the blast happened just before 12:30 wedn

ktvu's claudine wong joins us live to tell us newly hired firefighters are on the scene.ing, tori. yes, firefighters are on scene here on wilson drive in vallejo. there is nothing burning yet, but it will be. and burning throughout the day. take a look at this home on this lot. the owner agreed to let them use this as part of a training exercise. pretty important because we have five newest naves have to come in there and this will be their first kind of real experience with a live fire and getting it out safely. these firefighters are significant because this is a big move for the city of vallejo. three of them were hired by grant money. they also will hire nine more with grant money. when they get the nine more firefighters hired, guess what, the station will reopen. they have closed several stations because of budget cuts. they closed the one on minnie drive last summer. today it's got a sign out front that says fire station closed. basically just telling residents they'll have to call 911 and they're moving the engines from other fire stations to cover that area. but
