one of the top reports coming in northwest of sacramento and woodland. that's where we had that funnel cloud report. the storm spotter said the funnel was about 800 feet off the ground. some folks are debating whether this touched the ground or not. but a funnel cloud. this was pretty well designed, not very destructive. there was not any damage reported with this. but certainly a very severe look here at some california weather that did cross throughout the state. you can see on the radar, we are tracking this next wave moving in from the south. we noted a few lightning strikes earlier, so definitely plenty of juice in the atmosphere. down here in the south, we've been pretty hard hit the past 30 to 40 minutes, right on 101 through morgan hill down to gilroy. you can see some heavy returns of rain across evergreen at this point. we'll continue to track that and of course, the possibility of severe weather in the overnight hours. but right now i want to turn it over to meteorologist rob mayeda with more on how much rain we got and what it means in terms
