discussions about this think bike workshop. we did this in other cities in the u.s. and we will be in that other big california city, los angeles, in a few other days. thursday, and -- thursday and friday. and i was convinced quite easily about the use to have these kind of work shops in l.a. but i thought san francisco, there's so much going on already. we had leah and for almost nine months in amsterdam and chairman david chiu and others for a week. and there is such great organization here and there are so many ideas. there are so many professional little here already about bike infrastructure and the future of biking. but it will come down to implementation and it's perhaps a bit like riding the wiggle. you have to push hard and hopefully we might be a sort of additional support, a sort of small electricity motor for you to push your -- up that hill. and it will come down to implementation and leadership and it's great to have a sort of down to earth approach during these two days. working in teams on i think three important places in town. market, mid market. th

from the time of the workshop, we have reduced expenditures for the next fiscal year by $2 million. we will walk through what some of those are. walking through the proposals for consideration in the budget that we will be bringing forward. slide #six shows the major changes from the current fiscal year projection of $820 million in the budget going to next year and the following year. again, most of this are things you have seen before. a few things about point out. on the salary benefits line, proposing management reductions in the current fiscal year, and the overtime reductions of the second fiscal year, falling in it -- falling in it -- following an increase in the next fiscal year. i think we are chronically under-budgeted over time. why we do have some over- spending over time, we will try to bring the budget up in the spending down to what we think is the right level of overtime for the next fiscal year. because of a number of initiatives that we are overtaking, including the prop g initiatives, they are expected to do better in terms of bringing the overtime costs down. it

this morning, i sat in on the workshops and i was very encouraged. a lot of people like roma were there, people we have all work together at various points in our lives the last 20 years, but there were also a lot of new faces, young faces, and it is encouraging that our city has so many dedicated women were willing to spend the time, volunteer time for the most part, to make this city one of the greatest leaders for women's issues and rights and equality. i think we have proven that. i am very encouraged that perhaps in the next four, five years we will get ahead in terms of our own country stepping up to the plate. thank you again, and thank you, shelly.
