there were about 8 students that participated in the workshop. the students got to see some of the initiative ideas. they offered ideas of their own. students got the opportunity to go on a tour on pier 28. we're excited about the process to continue to work with the nutrition students at the school >> the sf c has had the opportunity to be an advisory body. the mayor and superintendant and has been designated to the renewal of children's fund. the couple provides the engagement process and designed the content to be for the community at large. it will assist in the interpretation of starnldz. the commission have been meeting and planning their orientation that will take place at the end of august. and the new commissioners have been attending the meeting. the training as well letting what workshops and tainting they'll have. and the commissioners will be planning and leading many of the workshops as well >> thank you student delegates. and now we have the report i see the representative approaching now. >> good evening superintendent and staff.

youth led tours and our waste water treatment facilities and also were conducting part of in-house workshops and we have also determined the way to keep the youth connected after the internship ends so that we can track and work with them through a web portal. and in addition, to expanding our existing programs we leverage these partnerships with local non-profits and as i mentioned during the may 8th meeting you authorized and approved the staff to administer a pool that distributed up to $150,000 of the board use add back for this year for up to 10 local non-profits and so this allowed us to increase the number of youth and expand the access to opportunities as well as also offer project based opportunities so that we could harass the perspectives and learnings that we could from the youth to learn about the environmental stewardship and give them expose sure to career pathways. several programs are here today to give you a sense of what they learned and the recommendations that they gave us on how they engaged the youth in the communities as we go and out do programs like the south east s

this workshop will be held at the ed roberts campus and i will be sending out a notice to all council members, with the specifics soon. on july 11th, we will be addressing san francisco's long-term care coordinating council and towards the end of july, we're trying to schedule a transportation forum in coordination with the fdr democratic club. my second topic today is an announcement. i wanted to tell you about a visit that our office had this week to the grand opening for the community assessment service center, which is operated by the adult probation department, with support from public health and human services. for a little bit of background about this project, about two years ago, governor brown responded to a federal court order about prison overcrowding. part of the problem was that the state had been unable to provide adequate health care to the inmates, and even more specifically, going back to 1990, there was a lawsuit filed on behalf of the inmates, regarding inadequate access to mental healthcare. this is a great concern to people with disabilities and it's an issue of c
