many foodies who have been to the city at katie tell us, i know you're partnering now with world central kitchen. can you tell us what you're doing, but also about the challenges that you're facing with water and doing that absolutely, yes. >> so world central kitchen is just an incredible organization. on sunday, they were reaching out to us. they were already sending people down here to start setting up kitchens to cook for the cook meals for the community. sunday afternoon, we started prepping meals for the community or, able to do it because world central kitchen is trucking water in for us to be able to use. they are just logistics geniuses and they act fast. so we have personally prepared 20 are restaurants, 2,400 meals so far it'll be 3,000 by the end of today. and we started on sunday and will do at least 1,000 meals every day and then they have other satellite kitchens that are also producing meals for the community. and then they helicopter those meals to people who are completely cut off from road access there's so many challenges yeah. >> i mean, you're helicoptering there, helicopte

talk about the fact that you have opened one of your restaurant kitchens as a prep area for world central kitchen are feeding people affected and more remote areas. how did that come about? >> world central kitchen is an incredible organization they reached out to a saturday, which was the day after the major part of the storm hit our area and immediately we're already setting up a satellite kitchen and trying to get other restaurants and kitchens involved in preparing meals for the community they reached out to us because we were in downtown in their force to let power no water, but we have power and their logistics master's, they figured out the water source for us. they figured out supplies, donations, and got us to be able to bring some of our staff back to work. so that we can could prepare meals for the community and people in need this time of year asheville and surrounding areas rely on tourists and calm as people come to see the fall colors and just the, all the sights and the beautiful downtown area. >> what does it mean for the community to not have that money coming in right now? >> o

we partnered with the world central kitchen this morning and able to lift some of that burden. but the rebuilding phase is really kind of, kind of what we're facing the roads are barely left and we're doing a good job of trying to bring some of that back, but it's not it's not a it's not a thing that we're going to be able to do in the next two weeks. it's going to be months for us to rebuild and then rebuilding the community alone. >> and i mean, you mentioned world central kitchen. we love those guys, jose andres and his outfit that they do amazing work. so glad you're getting help what's the as far as you can tell? i just anecdotally speaking, what's the state response been like the federal relief response? do you feel like their present in the community or is this really all about local folks having to roll up their sleeves to get the job done? or is it a combination of all those things? what do you think? >> so far it's really been about the local folks. i mean we were we were operational and deploying supplies the day after the hurricane. our local pd and stuff those guys
