t >>> welcome back to "worldwide exchange."kets are seeing positive momentum as strong earnings combined with policies by president trump boost investor sentiment but the uncertainty over the threat of tariffs over china and the eu is keeping the dollar low. we have to talk about this news, the threat of tariffs on the eu just kind of adding to the pot and the mix of other tariffs potentially on canada and mexico, but still today this morning we're seeing the dax trading at all time high, tse at all time highs. is there more headline threat when it comes to tariffs? >> we would say that there is certainly more headline threat, especially in the oversees market, but even in the u.s. we think that there's going to be a lot of uncertainty not only with tariffs but also with other policies that are going to be there, plus with inflation and rate cuts. so that is why investors should be cautious in the first half of the year where we could potentially see a pullback in the markets. >> the markets are on a bit of streak, nasdaq up tw

we get a look at foreign-exchange worldwide, everything weaker in comparison to the dollar.ir hands. the 10 year in the u.k. up another seven basis points. it's a big surprise on payrolls, upside surprise on payrolls in america. lisa: which is not certain what the u.k. wanted to see or some of the officials in germany and elsewhere. for equity markets cap and lower, would i find interesting -- gapping lower, what i find interesting is this is actually a statement of strength when you look at private payrolls. this is being driven by the private sector. it is not necessarily being accompanied by major downward revisions. this is strength and really goes to the question of exxon the written inflation and growth -- accelerating inflation and growth. jonathan: the jobs number comes in at 256. the median estimate was 165. the unemployment rate has come back down to 4.1%. the obvious reaction in markets, bond yields higher, the dollar stronger, equities lower. you have had a few minutes to go through this. what do you think about this one? >> i think this one is good for the econo
