kelly wright is in washington, d.c. with the latest on fema and the other federal agencies and how they are coordinating efforts today and the next couple of days. >> reporter: hey, rick. good morning to you. the and the fema want to be prepared for this one. so the word right now is preparation, getting the coordination. president obama is being kept up to date overnight about irene throughout the night, from fema and his aides and during a meeting with fema, the president said, it's going to be a tough slog for the cities and states living in irene's fath path. he is certainly right about that. he visited fema's command center early on sunday to get a regional update on the plans for federal emergency response to irene. the president telling his staff at that time that fema was doing a very good job, but he still had some concerns. >> what we heard, the biggest concern right now is dealing with flooding and power. it sounds like that's going to be an enormous strain on a lot of states and that may take days, even lopi
