earlier today, some dc water customers, including us here at wusa 9 didn't have water. check out this map. pay close attention to the areas of northwest dc, those are areas in the blue, especially west and southwest of rock creek park, because that's who's affected. >> the dc water authority says water has been fully restored to all customers affected today, but precaution still has to be taken, including boiling all water you intend to ingest until further notice. there are about 1100 customers under the advisory. it's mainly under nebraska avenue in the areas of wisconsin and massachusetts avenues in northwest dc. anyone in this area is strongly encouraged to boil water for drinking, cooking, the water you'll use to brush your teeth, make ice, formula for infants, water for your pets, you'll want to boil all of that water. obviously, you want to allow it to cool down and then use it. this all began this afternoon at the fort pumping station in dc. power went out, pumps went down. the loss of pressure from those pumps could have caused contamination in the water system
