wyatt's family says they hope to get him a bone marrow transplant somime next year. opioid and heroin overdose including here in iowa. last year, 40-thousand people across the country died from unintentional drug overdoses. more than half of those deaths involved prescription drugs. the vast majority-- about 17-thousand deaths--- were related to opioid pain relievers. that's why federal and local law enforcement teamed up saturday for a prescription pill take back day. cedar rapids police collected pills from people with no questions aske saturday. the pills were put in brown boxes and will be picked up by the d-e-a this is the sixth year of this event. "our goal is to get those drugs off the streets so they can stay out of the hands of children, out of people who potentially want to abuse them, and also not be flushed down the drain and end up in our drinking water" if you missed saturday's event, the cedar rapids police department has a box at the station where you can drop off your they finally did it. the chicago cubs are heading back to the world series for the
