well, the truth is that in the court case, there was not a hate crime in wyoming. the case built by the prosecution, these guys were not convicted of a height crime. the evidence was not presented to a jury that it was a hate crime. they were convicted of felony murder and related charges including kidnapping, you know, some aggravating factors. that's what they were convicted of. the decision that this was a hate crime was made, okay, by the media before these guys had even been arraigned, before matthew was dead and before they were even arraigned for the murder. it was already considered a de facto hate crime. that happened almost overnight. before matthew was dead, the president, bill clinton, was making statements saying that because of this we need to pass the hate crime law that is stalled in congress. from my vantage point as a writer, the book is not an attempt to prove that this wasn't a hate crime. i acknowledge in the book that, obviously, hatred was a factor in some of what was going on, but this was a confluence of several factors, okay? not just mcki

it was becoming a problem in iowa and missouri and nebraska and colorado and wyoming and montana. the epidemic became quite large and it's still a problem today, had already begun. it again to be a problem in certain urban gay enclaves in the cities at that time that were being affected were san francisco new york and los angeles. crystal meth was a circuit party drug and something that people got off on the fact they could stay up all night dancing and it really -- the drugs makes you feel especially the beginning made make you feel really alive and powerful and very alive. now in righteous but then i talk about this in the book, this drug was moving through those two segments at the same time. through urban gay communities and also a through the rocky mountain west and the midwest and it just wasn't at the time that we were not looking at that. when i looked into the police reports i found references that journalists had never reported on because the records were sealed. in the course right after questioning my friends and in particular one friend alex trout told the police that

to wyoming, more snow there. today, it is eastern wyoming.eavy, wet snow, and again, part of the same system that's all pushing eastward. so more snow today in eastern wyoming. here's a look at the radar picture. this is the swath of concern today for severe weather. not as intense as we saw yesterday. so the tornado threat not as bad. but what we're going to see the winds that will be a factor and also hail. chicago to st. louis, there's the line of rain right now. kansas city down to oklahoma city it is all moving eastward. in chicago, madison, wisconsin down to indian st. louis. again not as intense but gusty wind and hail. all of a sudden, the threat pushes eastward and actually into buffalo, new york. this day, it will be very gusty winds that will be the biggest threatening aspect. again, certainly a lot less in terms of the tornado aspect. forecast it's going to light up from st. louis to oklahoma. and then pushes eastward towards sunday you see the robustness of this, a little less, still on monday it pushes eastward. of course huge s
