yesterday officials in wyoming announced they found remains matching gabby's description in the spread creek camping area of grand teton national park. they say they were searching the area outlined in red here, but also yesterday a blogger posted a video on youtube saying she and her husband saw what looks to be xwaby's van in that exact place where the square is on august the 27th, around 6:00 p.m. take a look here this is her husband driving past the van, see it there. the video slowed down. you can see the black ladder in the back of the storage rack on the roof here's another view through the driver's window. it appears to match video of the van uploaded to youtube from gabby's account, and if you look closely, see there that's a pair of flip flops placed apparently neatly on the ground, unclear whether they could belong to brian or gabby as both have similar looking sandals. also filling in some important holes in the timeline. a newly obtained copy of the police search warrant on the laundrie home. officials wrote that during the trip gabby texted and called her mother multiple

we are 28 miles outside of jackson, wyoming.e just turned off highway 191 ask we're driving now on forest road 30290. if you take a look you can see the road is a gravel road and it stretches for miles into the camp site. remember, video blogger jen bethune and her husband captured a picture of this van they believe was gabby petito's inside the spread creek dispersed camping area. they posted it on youtube and gave it to the fbi. bethunes told us they spotted the van august 27 around 6:30 p.m., but the van was dark and they didn't see anyone near it. the video bloggers sent us the coordinates where they say they saw that van. we're trying to find that location right now. they said it was about 2 1/2 miles in or so, and the van was right on the road. this dispersed camping area is an undeveloped camping area that offers few services. it's a popular spot so it's no surprise gabby or her fiancee seem to have chosen it. it's on the eastern boundary of the grand teton national park and the views are breath taking. while we don't kno

investigators want to talk to brian laundrie, who hasn't been seen in more than a week after wyomingred sunday in a national park is petito and they ruled her death a homicide. joining me now from venice, florida, nbc news correspondent vaughn hillyard. what's the latest on the search, vaughn? >> reporter: yeah, we're talking about a 40-square-mile area here, the carlton reserve. this is about 20 minutes from where brian laundrie was living. it was now more than three weeks ago, september 1st, that his family says he returned in that white van from the western part of the country, but without gabby. and ever since then, he was here, in florida, not providing any answers to any questions, including being uncooperative with authorities. and it was one week ago yesterday, now eight days ago, that the family says that he came to this reserve in a vehicle, to go on a hike. but now it's been eight days, they say, since he has been seen. it took them four days, though. it was last friday that they finally reported him missing to authorities. so there's a big question mark, where has brian l
