if you're heading over towards the castro valley y, you might see some lights because there are some traffic flows smoothly. but all lanes are open for castro valley boulevard underneath the freeway and the off ramps are also open. that is a nice flow of traffic off the dublin interchange. the bay bridge, nice look at the upper deck where traffic is starting to pick up and the volume heading out of oakland into san francisco with those headlights. top of the screen there's a dark band, low clouds impeding our view there. not a problem for bridge goers but there's a note for fog throughout much of the outer reaches of the bay area. sun sunol, right in the middle of the bay area, southbound -- the southbound direction, taillights barely visible. pretty thick fog through the grade there. there's other spots with pretty thick fog as well. >> fremont seeing pretty thick fog, concord is at 3 miles of visibility and the densest fog is in the north bay, less than a quarter of a mile. you couple that with freezing conditions and you actually have the threat of freezing fog and black ice over
