the mother of yalani chinyamurindi says her son was not. she says he was on a break from work when he asked a friend for a ride so he could cash his check. >> he wanted to hurry up and cash his check because he wanted to surprise me with some money to pay some rent. that is why my son died. he died a working man. >> reporter: more than 100 people marched last night calling for change. asking the older generation to talk to young people about the senselessness of gun violence. live from san francisco i'm tara moriarty ktvu channel 2 news. >> thank you. >>> time is 5:03. california lottery commission says if you purchase lottery scratch tickets in san bruno, you want to check your tickets. a worker at the chevron station was secretly checking which scratchers were winners and only selling losing tickets to customers. they call that pinning. it involves using a pin or other sharp object to reveal part of a verification dead and it can be checked online. the district attorney says the lottery commission should consider changing that system. >>
