john yang joins me live from indianapolis. there on pt ground what's the reaction now from people there as they've heard from the governor today trying to make this clarification? >> it's a little too early to tell -- let me interrupt you. >> signs of realization of the mistakes that have been made. and i'm sad to report that i'm not seeing those signs. i see some indication that there's an awareness that he's in a very difficult political situation in that the legislative leaders are in that same boat and i also see a realization that he may be at low ebb in his governorship but i don't see any indication there's a willingness to admit that a true mistake has been made. yesterday i made a reference to the stages of grief. and it seemed like the stage of grief yesterday was denial. today i would submit that the stage of grief seems like it's bargaining, which is number two. we need to get through to acceptance for the good of the state as quickly as possible. now, when we get through to the acceptance stage, there is a remedy.

john yang reports from shepherdsville, kentucky. >> reporter: here at a truck shop in shepherdsville,ruckers have headed back out on to i-65 now that it is open and moving again. some guys have been here two days waiting out the storm. i--65 shut down for about 20 hours between late wednesday night and into thursday evening with hundreds of people stranded in their cars sleeping overnight. some of them there as long as 15 hours. the national guard had to go out and rescue 200 drivers. there are still abandoned vehicles on the highway waiting to be reclaimed. and this morning -- early this morning another jackknife tractor-trailer on that stretch of i-65. but the kentucky state police it was cleared quickly and highway is back open and moving again. thomas. >> nbc news correspondent john yang reporting from kentucky. >>> and it was just a short time ago the ncaa handed down a severe punishment to jim boeheim and syracuse a nine-game suspension for the coach and a loss of 12 scholarship. the university does not agree with the report and many appeal portions of this decision. but joining

my name is yang ming. i am here to voice my opinion as someone who works at the community center. i'm here to talk about the closing of the community campus at 750 eddie street. i'm going to show how much that impact is happening to our families. i think that the 750 campus is unique itself. it has been serving many, many new comeers and families and immigrants like my family when we came here in the 80's and had refugee from the vietnam. that campus was something in the process that's not transparent and it's not giving an opportunity for the community to share what the concerns are and so i think that i'm hoping that the supervisors and to take a look at this policy and to hope to maybe having the cc f f come up with a concrete plan to replace all these classes that are impacting for our new immigrants and families here in the tender loin. and so because i know learning a new language is a big barrier for many new immigrants, many many parents are living in the tender loin area that need that campus to be accessible to them. thank you. >> thank you, very much. next speaker, plea
