and it's been a year since the death of yardley love.find abc2 sherrie johnson with more on what the school is doing in her honor today. >> reporter: charley, yeardley love was a standout player and the school clash cross player and the school wants to honor her. she was found dead and her ex- boyfriend george hugu eley charged with the murder. they want to keep her memory alive and the school is awarring first yeardley love scholarship to amber, an 8th grader. she is honored to received the 4-year full tuition scholarship and the campus plans to remember love with an event called bringing out the yeardley in everyone. the day will start with a prayer and students and faculity will be asked to pay a kindness forward in honor of love. everyone is invited to wear love's t-shirts. also, the varsity players are encouraged to wear the number one, her number. everyone here is excited about commemorating this day. there's such a outpouring of love for the lady that lived up to her name. reporting live in towson, sherrie johnson. >> thank you. >
