many women work for the red cross, ymca but not in policy leadership positions.dn't have control even though they were staffing much of it. one exception is the women's land of america in which it was organized by women, run by women. they have about 33 units across the nation. most successful unit in new york, california, illinois, new jersey. in california they gain ed labo protections that you will not see again until the new deal. it's too complicated but residue of jim crow in that period. obviously, to pay for the war you need money. it is actually very important is that the worst changes after the war, income tax will be your primary funder of the government. that will be what funds the government afterwards. during the war they tried to defend d depend on loans. women are at the center again of pushing this forward. they do realize halfway through, as much money as they are raising and they are raising lots of money. millions upon millions of dollars. still not enough. you have to change the revenue system to adjust. the war does push through that change.

you have the saint francis square co-operative and the ymca. this is a location where a lot of people want to cross the street but there's no opportunity to do so right now. this illustrates a traffic signal and crosswalk that is proposed as part of the project that would give a new place to cross the street. you can see an illustration of gives an example of what the bus-only lanes look like on other side of the street in a location that doesn't have them. beyond the transportation work associated with this, the other so he iassociated with. so as the transportation improvements include repaving of the road way. definitely the pavement at this point is rough and everyone will be happy for a smoother ride. the sfpuc has water and sewer work associated with the project. this includes geary between masonic to market street and there's a fiber objec fiber optt which allows for high-speed internet and something we use for our traffic signals. so, i do want to talk about some of the outreach focused on the business community. we do have a geary comm
