infrared light can be seen by the naked eye colors on the visible spectrum for more we're joined now by ymca, jupiter, a planetary astronomer and professor at uc berkeley. wonderful to have you on today. we appreciate the time i know you lead a team of experts analyze. rising the data and the images coming from the webb telescope of jupiter. what did you see in these images? that was unexpected or surprising to you? well the entire image just the fact that we see so much detail on jupiter, and at the same time we see the very faint rings. i mean, a million times fainter than jupiter itself. for some of the of the moons like at our stevia, which is only about 20, kilometers across and m arcia, so it that together with really defined details on jupiter's disk itself, this tiny little plumes and storm systems and, of course, the great red spots. uh and details within the great red spot, and then we see these arora. i mean the fence sort of in some of the images reddish and in other bluish glow. that extends above the poles up to about 1000 kilometers or so above the limb. you got our beef never

country pulled their kids out of school on the on the birthday and i remember sitting at the main street ymca all day listening to dr. king speeches watching eyes on the prize and his voice and the way in which his faith came alive and practical ways so that people had the courage to stand up for themselves. it captured my imagination. i went to morehouse college largely because that was a school dr. king attended. that's kind of interesting because dr. king had a profound impact upon me as well. yeah now i was in 19 year old college student. yeah, and when i first met dr. king i met him in john lewis the same weekend back in 1960. on the campus of morehouse college and of course as happens in movements like that, there's always some generational approaches that may not be the same and there was a little disagreement that i cropped up among our students and of course sclc, and we asked dr. king to meet with us. on that campus he came to meet with us. yeah, and agreed that we will get together to the clock in the evening for about an hour were these to snick students? absolutely and john lewis
