hazel sanchez is live at the scene in yonkers and also chopper 2 is live over the sawmill. what's the latest? >> reporter: yeah, it was very intense and there is still an ongoing investigation. you did see from chopper 2 where the police pursuit ended. the suspect's silver sports car smashed between a police squad police say the pursuit began at about 11:a. police officers were pursuing two men in a silver sports car after they drove off at 242nd street and broadway in the bronx. they sped up the henry hudson parkway. at one point, the suspects were driving the wrong way on the northbound sawmill hitting several vehicles before gliding with police and -- colliding with police and an suv. police arrested one suspect. but a second suspect who one witness said was armed with a gun ran away, setting off a massive manhunt that shut down the sawmill in both directions. two veteran police officers chased the suspect into the woods in tibbetts brook park. >> police officers pursued. a confrontation ensued. one shot was discharged from one of the new york city police officer's weapo
