this is not unique to york shire. i'm very glad they raised it.been raising alarm on theirs. they did geta been raising alarm on theirs. they did get a 3.2 billion package of support from the government to try and help them through. counsel i think this is not nearly enough but as the yorkshire post points out councils in yorkshire alone facing a kind of 600 million shortfall. top that off councils around the rest of england you got a significant problem. what happened is it's twofold, councils went into this very tragic situation from a bad position because they borne the brunt of the cuts made by the conservatives since 2010. by a disproportionate and felt the burden of financial cuts fell on local authorities more than any other area. so that they were already struggling. and now income in addition to the money they can raise from the council tax and the central government art has also collapsed. that extra money from parking, leisure centres, all that's gone. and yet they are being asked to do more because of coronavirus. for example they've b
