how much does the yosemite bridge cost? in different documents i have the transportation improvements are up to $404 million. that includes the road improvements in the hunters point transit center. can you give us a general breakdown of the transportation improvements for the southeast sector? >> if i could have the power point screen. supervisor mar, you are correct. the roadway improvements, brt, transit preferential st systems the front door to san francisco, candlestick, and the shipyard, ennis. there is a roadway improvement as well. this slide is focusing on the existing southeast. the total cost of roadway improvements is within the bounds of candlestick and the shipyard. you can see the hunters point transit center. the roadway improvements within the bounds of each site plus connected to thivity -- on this slide, you see the transit improvements that would be undertaken. the bridge in a stadium scenario is approximately $82 million in a non-stadium scenario where it is only serving clean mass transit by pedestrian

triple digits for central valley, warm yosemite but coastal clouds that natural cooling effect pacific we are staying in the 60s for your coastal locations. let's check in with the satellite and explain what is going on here. why are we so warm for inland locations and by the bay, high pressure in place will keep us warm but don't get used to it a cooling trend continues tomorrow and upper level trough dipping in from the gulf of alaska bringing those temperatures down significantly. coastal clouds today will continue to deepen as we move into the workweek and that will keep temperatures cooler. for today the bullet points, valley heat coastal clouds we will see warm temperatures for the inland valleys for south bay and even east bay locations oakland, places on the water still going to stay relatively warm because marine layer not nearly as thick as it has been. yesterday we saw a pretty strong on shore flow ushered those coastal clouds inland today not so much. northerly flow and that will help to clear things out. take me through the day with our pinpoint fog cast notice how it clea

it is further resolved to add that the project is entirely within the yosemite creek watershed, whose headwaters are on the north side, but the. known as the south side -- the area known as the south side. we won a wetlands and watershed study. that is all. we're asking for opportunities for this extremely important ecological area note be enhanced by this project. restoration or relocation, as the next issue, the bridge, may require. the possibility of restoring the shoreline. the production and the establishment of criteria for this purpose. the study could be provided by the board of supervisors and made available for the public comment, so we are just asking for a study on this. and as a footnote, we have not had a discussion on the bridge yet. doing stuff like this will actually help in that process. i think this is a good move for the proponents of that project. that is my motion. president chiu: supervisor mirkarimi has made a motion for the watershed. is there a second? seconded by supervisor campos. supervisor mirkarimi: the next one is about removing the bridge completely. w

yosemite, the same thing with scattered showers and thunderstorms that will also be in the mix for tomorrow. influx of southerly moisture helping to fuel this. across the higher elevations in the bay area we're currently dry and, well, it looks like it will stay that way out we continue throughout the night. look at what's back. the fog. 68 degrees and even with winds northwest at 23 miles per hour, these lower level winds are still hoping to usher in some cooler air near the coastline and at oakland, 70 with winds northwest at 17 miles per hour. what you note here is throughout the north bay and the peninsula, we did see a little bit of cooling as expected with 82 right now in novato and gillry, livermore and concord, conditions above average. that's a big part of the scenario as we head to saturday. the fog will stick around as we head throughout tonight and tomorrow morning. for sunday, cooling winds for the entire bay area, even for spots that are inland. here's the fog today. it built up last night so we knew the areas near the coastline would be cooling down. but the thing is the fog.

high country about 93 degrees in yosemite. so locally temperatures down just somewhat. 50s and 60s coastside, 70s and 80s inside the bay. maybe creeping up into the low 80s into places like brentwood and antioch, you're looking at 70s toward the tri-valley and concord and 60s into berkeley, oakland, alameda. north bay temperatures in the 60s and 70s. looking over the next few days, we are going to see high pressure building back into the bay area. temperatures warming up a few degrees probably near 930 in some of the warmest spots inland by saturday and sunday, fairly cool at the coast with 50s and 60s. that's a look at your weather. back up to you. >> thank you. high country still a slight chance you could see a couple of thunderstorms popping up in the yosemiteea. about 39 degrees there into the afternoon. only about 58 degrees in eureka. so as we look around the bay area, the temperatures are going to be comfortable but cooler than normal. billion 1 degrees in morgan hill. about 77 in san jose. 72 degrees in fremont. and about 70 degrees in hayward. out at the coastline, let's plan on patchy fog and temperatures there in the 50s and also the 60s. how about the east bay? some of the warmer temperatures up into the low 80s in place like pittsburg and brentwood. but in the tri-valley 70s there and mid-70s toward concord, 60s in the oakland and berkeley areas. north bay in the 60s and 70s. so you get the idea. these numbers comfortable but running below average all around the bay area. looks like high pressure building in temperatures going to start warming up maybe some places near 90 towards saturday and sunday. out at the coastline, not much change. low clouds and fog, temperatures there in the 50s and the 60s. that's the latest forecast. ba

montana wildlife authorities say a female bear tore through tents and attacked three people near yosemite. >> i thought what am i going to do now? and i said you got to play dead and i went limp, totally limp, very quiet. it held me in its teeth for a little while and dropped me and walked away. >> reporter: the bear also attacked a young man who escaped with lesser injuries but killed a michigan man after dragging him from his tent. what's bothering you? >> that somebody else died, and it could have been me and it wasn't. >> reporter: fatal bear attacks are rare. in this area, there have been four killings by grizzlies in the past 30 years. montana wildlife officers said today they believe they've captured the bear responsible for yesterday morning's attacks, plus two of her cubs. now, they're waiting for d.n.a. evidence to come back to confirm these are the right animals, and if so, they may very well be put down. >> if the mother is pursuing people, cubs are going to learn to pursue people. >> reporter: freele planned to camp her way back to ontario, canada, but now she just wants to g
