first thing, take a look at the picture that yosemite national park shared from yesterday. that's tioga pass up to the meadows. look at the snow bank over here. that's solid snow pack from yesterday. it is still 12 feet high. and i spoke with andrew schwartz. he's kind of the expert on analyzing snow pack in the sierra. and he said at this point that snow has compacted down. about half of that right now is still water which is waiting to come down. you can see our little scale over here. that is about to fill up to just about six feet full, and this would be about six feet of standing water that's waiting to come down. so you've still got a lot of water up there come down. here's yosemite valley. and if we take a look at a fly through to give us a three dimensional perspective on what it looks like right now -- and we're going to go to google earth for that. you're going to see a real unique perspective of yosemite valley that will show us the whole thing's pretty much a floodplain. as we take that google earth fly through, you'll see that the floodplain is going to be putt
