this fire began around 9:00 north of the city of napa and east of yountville.seifkin is live in the oakland hills where the wind is blowing. we can tell. >> reporter: absolutely. the hair blowing sideways probably tells the story. gusty winds throughout the bay area this morning, red flag warning in effect and we are seeing particularly high winds in the east bay hills, the north bay hills and the diablo range. that combined with low humidity is a recipe for fire danger. that's actually why we saw that fire break out last night in napa county. it was just before 9:00 and that fire started just east of the silverado trail. apparently, gusty winds blew down a power line and that is what started the fire. now, one house did catch on fire on that 90-acre lot. additionally a carport caught on fire and several other outbuildings. dozens of homes in the neighborhood had to be evacuated. the good news is though nobody was injured. we have heard that about 50% of the fire was contained by 4:00 this morning. but crews still contending with the strong winds this morning t
