i'm in yountville which is in napa county. let me break it down. we have four fires burning technically but we are going to combine them into two separate fires right now. that's what cal fire is doing. the yellow fire and the silverado fire. you're looking at the silverado fire right there that is near yountville about two miles from where i'm standing right now. silverado trail. 50 acres burning, 40% contained. they had bulldozers creating breaks around that fire all night and engines standing by. a barn burned. the damage there is estimated at about 200 thousand dollars and they are expecting full contain -- $200,000 and they are expecting full containment by 8 a.m. now to the three fires combined now at highway 128 and yellowjacket ranch road burning near knight's valley, calistoga and geyserville nearby. that's 200 acres. no structures are threatened right now. they think that that was probably caused by some power lines that fell down in that area. so there have been some intermittent closures to highway 128. basically, they have several reso

it's right outside yountville.trying to find out which winery or grower owns the vineyard. but it's still not clear at this point. now, we do know that the vines are not threatened nor are any homes or buildings out there. take a look at the video. our news crew got this video at 1:00 this morning. >> you can see it started as a pretty big fire. a lot of big trees on fire. this was fueled by high wind overnight. during tower news at 4:30, we got reports that the winds at the napa airport were about 44 miles an hour. we'll check in with steve. the wind is just one thing the firefighters have been dealing with in these grass fires in the wine country. as as we just heard, they are dealing with steep, hilly terrain, a lot of hillsides without easy access. at this point, the cause of the fire is still under investigation in napa. just wanted to give you an update on some of the smoke. we've gotten a lot of calls in the newsroom overnight and then this morning, i just got a bunch of tweets from people in san francisco.
