yvonne: what about other commodities? on the iron ore, steel production up 10% in china so far. so we've seen a real increase of iron ore exports. big focus out of australia. we obviously had the unfortunate incident with the dam collapse, but we've also started to see a slow recovery of iron ore exports out of brazil going into china. what we've seen because of all that is rates move from $8,000 a day to over $26,000 a day over the last three months. and what typically happens this time of year, you always have a slow start in the first half. that's a seasonal piece. you have maintenance that goes on the mining site. it's a slower period of time. second half of the year, you have 12-15% more in iron ore shipments. if you couple that with the fact the price of iron ore is over $100 today, they are incentivized to get their mining operations up and going as fast as they can. and we're now starting to see increased volumes. rishaad: john, ok, we look at that, used to be seen as a gauge for how the global trade environment w

yvonne: thank you, joining us from mumbai.tion in india is seen rising further when we get data later today. thatitting just 3%, but is well below the r.b.i.'s official target of 4%. our guest joins us now from mumbai. we have seen inflation below the 4% target for 10 straight months. talk us through what you are expecting today. >> my expectations for inflation, headline inflation to stay flat for the month of june. broadly this shows structurally inflation has been low over the past few years. i expect the strength to continue in the year ahead. the key details of the inflation number to watch out for will be one, food inflation is expected to move up slightly. gold inflation, which tells you about the broader inflation trend of the economy, is expected to slow down further. core inflation is excited to dip down. core inflation would have come down last year by 190 basis points. what this means for the r.b.i. going forward is the rbi will have more room for further rate cuts. rishaad: how did they look at this? they have the

yvonne: we were talking about this new cabinet.ws has basically called it the great purge, judging by how revamped the new cabinet is, mostly hardliners. it is interesting. i just read ubs wealth management. they say this wins their vote because the no deal brexit scenario, the risk is fading. that seems to be a pretty out of consensus call. reporter: i would say so. everyone has different views on one. i think at the end of the day, you have to work out how the no deal works out. the only way to avoid a no deal is to come up with a deal, which in the u.k., can't work out itself what it is. that is an issue straightaway. if we get to the 31st, even if the u.k. can't agree, it is up to the eu to say to extended. it is in their interest to some degree because they don't want to know deal, either. they could also argue at some point, particularly those reluctant to give the extension, to ask why are we kicking the can down the road if we get the outcome? the eu is a factor as well and a no deal outcome is on the table whether you want

yvonne: you mentioned a little bit about the tax collections. expecting lower collections, especially gst. how do you think the finance minister will fill the gap to fund these welfare programs without increasing the tax burden on programs here? see taxesar, we did fall short of the estimates. there is some concern there. the monthly data that is coming in, there have been some changes as well in structure that suggest the rupee might not be very strong over the next months as well. i think the balancing act will be, if there are lower tax revenues, to balance it out with higher nontax revenues. divestment -- i had push aheadtment -- with divestment, privatization. you could get a windfall. that, significant revenue, i think it will not be available in the short-term it it has to work its way through and it will take a couple of years before we see more efficient. nontaxmeantime, i think is an option. yvonne: you mentioned that there may not be a need or a full rollout of these reforms. i'm wondering, now that the elections are over, we saw the
