yvonne: thank you. we continue to see the slowdown in china when it comes to consensus growth, the forecast has been cut to 3.5%. it is kind of like when china sneezes, the rest of the world catches a cold. the iea also seeing his first drop in oil demand since 1990. you look at one of these banks like goldman sachs, barclays saying do not expect this kind of turnaround in covid zero. if anything, it will be gradual. david: they keep revising it down. the last month's set is what really triggered this latest round of downgrades to this, 3.5%, and we are adjusting that with the consensus forecast for the rest of the world. it is a .6% differential, which is the narrowest going back to 1990. we are not used to really seeing china grow this close to the global cliff. 1990 was the only time since they opened up in 1979, 1980, so how does this look over long term? it looks like this. we have not really been able to chart it. here's the forecast for china in green. there's the global forecast for the global g

yvonne: we are near records for dxy as well. this is all related to the fed, and we are still seeing pain across asian currencies. take a look at that asian basket, we are basically set for the worst year since 1997. the asian financial crisis, certainly one to watch. the reckitt is at that level, we have talked about record lows for the peso. and we continue to see weakness despite 20 days of the poc with that strong bias. david: it is time to lighten the mood with dr. doom, the latest call. [laughter] even with mild recession, more losses on the s&p. you can make assumptions on how severe the recession is but he sees a 30 to 40% drop on the s&p 500. i think it was goldman sachs a few days back who had this warning. the s&p is down 19% from the top but earnings expectations have barely botched. -- budged. there will probably be a slowdown going forward. yvonne: as you mentioned, it is tapering off a bit but does this trend continue to stick? are we going to retest june lows we saw for the s&p as well? all related to how the fed

yvonne: what do you do until then?look for entry points now or do you seek shelter and hide out? >> i wish there were more options in the u.s. equity markets. you have netflix down, nvidia down 10% today, amazon down 7%. i don't know of many opportunities where you get to have a market run like you had last week where everyone thought they kind of missed it, and suddenly you wake up and get this entry point here. i think this is not clear sailing to the upside, but i think these are entry points given the fact that most people have to understand we are kind of at the end of this inflation, and there has to be some sort of anticipation that we are going to have some falling off, and we don't have a meeting in october, so they cannot raise in october. i think that you've got to take risks here. if you are taking risks, there are some large cap tech names that gave you good entry points today. david: if you are, i guess, willing to take a chance and invest, you have to really look through the fall -- the v, areol the oppo
