in winston-salem, north carolina, zac glover, wdbj7. virginia tech and virginia football fans can start to make their tailgating plans for the fall with the release of the acc schedule earlier today. it's a challenging slate for the hokies in coach justin fuente's first season, which includes liberty in the season opener on september 3rd followed by the tennessee game at the bristol motor speedway. the hokies are on the road for three of their four games in october. the only home game is a against miami on the 20th and they'll finish out the month a week later at pitt. tech will finish the season with a trip to south bend to face notre dame, while virginia comes to blacksburg for the traditional thanksgiving weekend finale. as for the cavaliers, bronco mendenhall's debut as coach will come against richmond on september 3rd. the cavs also have early season trips to oregon and connecticut. they'll open acc play on october 1st at duke and follow that up with three straight conference home games. miami will be the only home game for uva in

zac glover has more. good morning, i'm zac glover with your look at sports. it was certainly a season to remember for the virginia cavaliers baseball team last year. not only did they make it to omaha for the 4th time in seven years, but for the first time in school history, the wahoos won the national championship. uva is back at practice, the team using the indoor football facilities friday. head coach, brian o'connor is entering into his 13th season managing the hoos, and virginia is picked to finish second in the acc's coastal division, behind the miami hurricanes. we spoke to the team yesterday about officially putting a bow on last season, when they receive their national championship rings at a ceremony this evening at john paul jones arena. connor jones, virginia pitcher: "i'm excited for tomorrow. i think some of us almost forgot, because it's been so long that we rings. we didn't forget completely, but i think it's good to flip back to the past and flash on some of those experiences. moving forward, and looking to this year, and trying to duplicate

this is are zac glover in for travis wells with your look at sports. after being postponed because of the snow last week, the big orange wrestling tournament got rolling friday afternoon for the first of the 2-day event. while the field was trimmed from 33 teams to 17 because of rescheduling conflicts for some schools, the william byrd-hosted tournament is still showcasing some of the best talent in southwest and central virginia. the blue demons of christiansburg are back for more and looking to defend their 2015 title, but have some tough competition to get past in the host team and others in the area. thomas kessler, william byrd head wrestling coach, "definitely christiansburg and ph. they have two strong teams. they'll so it'll be fun to watch. the team's looking pretty good. we've been banged-up a lot of the season. adam catron at 170, noah harrilla at 152 and hunter kemper at 138 are all of our top guys so we're looking for them to place high in the tournament." it was certainly a season to remember for the virginia cavaliers baseball team last

good evening, i'm zac glover in for travis wells with your look at sports. the 40th annual big orange wrestling tournament got underway this afternoon at william byrd high school after being rescheduled from last week because of the snow. the 2-day event got going with matches on two mats in the main gym at byrd in the premier wrestling event in the area. this is the second- straight year the classic has been affected by winter weather, but with a much bigger impact this time around. thomas kessler, william byrd head wrestling coach, "you know last year, i think we only had 2 teams that couldn't come. this year, we went from 33 to 17 this week because we had to reschedule the whole week so that was tough on the tournament. we'll still have a pretty good tournament and hopefully next year those teams are going to be coming back. when we made the call last week, we had reached-out to a few schools and they had already had previous commitments so they couldn't come. we're happy that the schools that did come so we'll keep the tournament rolling and next year 33
