zach fuentes, abc seven news. >> all right, zach, thank you. president trump's chaotic rollout of his tariff war is taking another turn. he's now temporarily delaying the tariffs on canada and mexico for a month. this comes after the president's phone call with mexico's president this morning, the 25% tariff on goods from mexico and canada will now go into effect april 2nd. tariffs remain on china. meanwhile, president trump will not sign an executive order today to dismantle the department of education, even though one has been drafted. he says he wants to give education back to the states. >> california's attorney general announced today another lawsuit against the trump administration. it's over the termination of grant funding for k through 12 teacher preparation programs. >> these are grants that our states counting on to train and prepare qualified educators. funds that are critical to addressing our state and nation's teacher shortage crisis. >> at least $148 million is at stake for california alone. it's used for programs that create a
