let's check in with katy zachry. what are you seeing?> i'll focus on mass transit for this report because we have a water main break in the philadelphia area that's -- that's affecting things for septa riders. specifically on the broad street line. because of that water main break, trains are not stopping at this stop, the susquehanna dauphin line. all right, that's an issue we're following for septa riders. there's also an issue for mass transit in other areas. we've talked about the broad street line in philadelphia. so on amtrak, there's track rehabilitation work beginning today, lasting for the next few months. because of that, new jersey train lines, some of them are affected. specifically the new jersey coastline and the northeast corridor. because of that you will want to check schools, modified for the next few months. definitely check those when you head out on mass transit this morning. when i see you in a bit, we'll look at bridges and other roadways that may not have been cleared or plowed as much as they should especially go

katy zachry joins us live from atlantic city with what's being done to get ready for that storm. katy? >> reporter: good morning. people were coming to the jersey shore to check homes that they have up and down the coast. this is what nay found -- what they found, a frozen coastline up and down the shore. the same in cape may, water frozen along the shore. public works crews have gotten plows loaded with salt and are ready to go. and employees at local hardware stores tell us that salt, flashlights, and heaters, as you'd imagine, all going fast. with temperatures as cold as they are and the frozen water along the shore, you may not think that flooding is a top for concern for people along the jersey shore and those with homes here, but it is a firsthand concern for many, yet it seems inckocongruous because we're talking about temperatures well below freezing, snow that won't go away because it's too cold to melt, yet flooding is an issue. i'll tell you how and why that's a major concern for people at the shore coming up in the next half hour. reporting live in atlantic city, katy
