( averi )as the weather heats up there are more rattle snakes being reported around the bay area. a 47-year- old man from santa clara is still in serious condition this morning after he was bitten by a rattle snake. it happened in fremont at the mission peak regional preserve area. he mistakenly put is hand down on a rattlesnake he though was a rock. the east bay regional park district warns the high temperatures are bringing out the snakes... in just the past week, the park district says there have been six reported rattlesnake sightings at east bay parks.

(anny) police are reminding people that their cars can get very hot during these conditions. this is a picture that the san rafael police department tweeted out yesterday. they say they had to rescue "dexter" from a car that got up to 156-degrees inside. he was taken to the vet to be treated after cooling off in the police car. they say this is a good reminder not to leave your pets and kids in hot cars. temperatures can spike in just seconds... and that can turn deadly. so take the extra steps to make sure nobody is left in the car. back to you.
