zakaria uh zenab you mentioned uh um earlier that the regime is ordered a blackout on footage showing the aftermath of this operation or while the missiles were raining. down on tel aviv, you saw lot of uh israelis and even palestinians uh uh taking a a phone video footage of what uh transpired and you said now that the regime has outlawed those being published on social media space uh perhaps this all falls in line with the fact the regime is systematically targeted and killed over 200 journalists since october 7th mostly in gaza but also in lebanon and the occupied uh west bank um since i mentioned. october uh 7th, why do you think the regime is pushing for a blackout on footage showing iran's uh tonight's operation? well that's because israel is a country based on lies uh let's not forget that the regime um you know um always always try to project itself and and you know show itself as as a mighty superpower as powerful military powerful economical ob and all of that and that is the... project that israel is, it's based upon lies and for that lies to be maintained, it cannot allow

who are oppressed are the ones who usually win historically speaking. yes indeed, thank you so much zenab, zen what do you think uh the governments right now, global leaders, the governments? of especially the countries in the region who are directly or indirectly affected by the clashes that ex that uh we are witnessing today, how can they kind of get the get message across to the uh international organizations to kind of force them into a change of a way, into a change of procedures to come up with some solution in order to tame the atrocities of the israeli regime in the region. um, i think... "we we have to understand that right now um any hope or anyone still hoping in you know any of this international institution to to come to the rescue and to stand against israel they are they are placing your eggs in the wrong basket according to the very famous phrase because we've seen that um historically speaking the un or many of this international organization um have sever" only one purpose and that purpose is to keep the rest of the world um you know binded and limited to a certain rule

give a speech in just about an hour now uh let's come back to press tv studio uh we still have uh zenab zakaria uh of press tv uh and i wanted to ask about her insight on iran's retaliatory strike because uh what iran has said uh before launching and i mean right after the launch uh of the retaliatory strikes against israeli positions was that in the silence of uh world bodies and the silence of the world to be more specific iran has had to take matters into its own hands because it seems like uh governing bodies that are supposed to stop uh such acts of crime uh namely the united nations, a an organization that is soly based, that is soly founded on the basis that it's predecessor, the league of nations failed to uh failed to prevent uh something like world war 1, so uh the um something like world war i so uh the un was founded to prevent uh another world war uh but uh with their passivity shown uh in the past year and lot more than that uh, it seems like uh, it is up to freedom-seeking countries themselves to uphold their own values and uh take and and uphold their dignity in the face

zenab, you can see that um the yemeny resistant forces, the yemeny army have attacked also um a ship um and these sorts of attacks, this is going to kind of imbalance the situation within the persian gulf, and that is like the source of all the energy that is being carried to towards the west, so by using these attacks can we have a rebalance of power in the region? um, i think so, in the long run, yes, and also in the short term we've seen the effect of that, i think one of the bypass, one of the byproducts of the yemani imposition of um an embargo on you know israeli or israeli linked ships on the ic and the and the red sea um as been that it has exposed many of this um you know so-called um harab countries that have normalized ties with the regime and even as we see other arab sunni um you know um people in palestine being massacred and being killed and being starved and and forced to live under inhumane condition for the past almost one year, now we see all these other so-called arab government or arab regime continue to support you know the the regime and and and the help them t

to ask a couple more questions. from our very own zainab zakaria who's at the press tv studio uh so zenab uh what can you tell me about the the role of uh this historical and religious understanding of uh the imams and how that has affected the the resistance front, the axis of resistance in general and particularly the shiah um the shia groups uh "who are part of this act of resistance? generally speaking, human beings need role model, and we see that from a religious perspective that one of the reasons god sent prophet was to become a guide and also role model for people, and the struggle against evil or you know the struggle against oppression has always been consistent with the history of all the prophets that god sent. and after the last prophet, the muslims agree as the prophet muhammad, from the sheer point of view, that that message did not die with the prophet, it continued from you know within his household and from some of the imams who came from the household of the prophet, who are 12 in numbers and consistently each one of them also fought against oppression within. your own
