and in that sense, we're in good hands. >> so zerlina, the idea that essentially mr. lobby wants to put the family planning decisions of the women who work for him in god's hands, right? >> exactly. and i think that's really disturbing. i can imagine a scenario where you're on a job interview. say you're a married woman without children and not on birth control. your boss can say are you on birth control and you're probably not going to get hired because the likelihood you're going to have a baby is high. it already happens now to women who are mothers or, you know -- going to have children in the very near future. they're discriminated against in hiring. that's why we have the wage gap. >> although it's illegal. >> it's legal illegal, but happens all the time. i see an opening for that to happen. also, i think this impacts men, as well, right? so women not having the freedom to be able to choose whether or not they want to use contraception, impacts whoever they are in a relationship with as well. and i think we should want talk about this as a woman-only problem. th

zerlina, the article goes on to point out that almost half of marriage equality supporters voted forw jersey governor chris christie. so as judd points out there, while there's a recognition of trying to find somebody that's palatable to younger voters, we see in new jersey the fact that there are people there, the voters proved it, that they want marriage equality in their state, even though chris christie wouldn't go on record and allowing for it to happen really under his watch, so he gets a pass on this. but what do you think that christie did so differently that garners that kind of support? >> well, i think he just has softer rhetoric with regards to immigration and marriage equality and all of these socially conservative issues that brings people to the polls during a primary. he just -- you know, he sounds, quote unquote, nicer when he's talking about these issues. but i think the gop -- we always hear the demographic problems that they have. the emerging majority of black and brown voters. really the math is not on their side. eight states where three-quarters of the voting
