. >> commissioner zouzounis: i thought the speakers and lineup and to hear about a lot of the collaborations between merchants and schools and work force development that doesn't get a lot of credit, whether it's collaborations with i.c.a. and internship programs, that was great. i also attended the african-american chamber of commerce event. it was a great event. i'm also continuing to field calls after the passage of prop e and i'm looking to hear back from the department of public health and the city on a more precise timeline, whether it's inmr implementing a ban on flavored tobacco or not. and people are freaking out. >> i attended the healthy spot c.u. meeting as an observer, just to observe. i was curious to see what the commission was going to do and how they were going to make them decision. i was very impressed with the mobilization of the merchants and citizens and the residents in noe valley in opposition. it was an interesting process to watch play out and see if it had influence on the commissioners and i think that it did. i don't know where -- i can't know which way they were

my name is mirrian zouzounis. and i'm here to support. >> commissioner mazzucco: -- marc massarweh. i'm on the small basis commission and i believe we do need more representation of arab americans in city hall. marc also comes from a small business background, and just like my family's business, we are on the cop's beats, we talk to them, we know how to connect what they're dealing with and what the community at large is dealing with, and it's really important that we have a seat at the table. just last month, we had a young community member involved in an officer involved sheeting -- shooting, and what was really apparent in that process, we need someone serving us in the community. in light of today's increasingly important -- to make sure that we hold to the oversights, one during that it has to do with federal and local mou's and surveillance that targets a specific demographic in the city. in addition to the language access work, our community's been involved with those kinds of items, and they directly intersect with police commission work, and so we really hope that you can h
