ktvu allie rasmus joins us now to show usúthe memorial and the calls for safety.flower bouquets, stuffed animals and handmade signs. now this memorial grew last night during a vigil that was held. the sign above the display reads sf grieves and includes photos of the three people who died when an suv crashed into them at this bus stop on saturday. the victims, a father, mother and their young son, a family friend, identified them the father as brazilian national diego oliveira. his wife matilda, and their son joaquim. they died when the driver curb, crashing into the west portal bus shelter where the family was waiting for the bus again. this happened saturday afternoon. the couple's six month old baby was the only member of the family who survived. the baby is still in the hospital. last night, the pedestrian safety advocacy group walk sf organized a vigil to honor and hundreds of people came out. >> i feel that i need to be here to show respect for the family, and i hope that the infant will survive. >> we need to change how people drive is the number one thing

rasmus joining us now with what we know so far about what happened. >> ali i'm pam, san francisco policeus much at this point in the investigation. so here's what we do know. 930 last night, there was a shooting in holiday plaza. that is the plaza that's at the bottom of the escalators, right next to the entrance to the powell street bart station and right across from the cable car turnaround. we don't know what prompted the shooting or how many people were involved, but san francisco police say when they arrived, they found one person who'd been shot more than once, even though medics tried to help. the person died from those gunshot wounds there at the scene. we don't know anything about the victim. if it was a man or a woman. police did not tell us about any arrests or any possible motives or suspect descriptions. homicide detectives closed off the plaza and the entrance to the powell street bart station shortly after this happened. at 930 last night, although trains did continue to run through powell station and service was back to normal again. later in the evening and again this mo
