joining me for the hour josh brown, stephanie link, jason snipe, jim lebenthal. so we do have the markets higher, nicely so. cpi mostly in line. i think we can say that. yield is a touch higher. we're going to get to the whole market story. i mentioned the bounce in nvidia and other moves. we have several moves to get through from the committee today, and we're going to start there and start with josh brown who bought a few new things. i want to tell you about all those. you bought ebay, which hit a 52-week high on monday. that's the highest since february of last year. tell me why that one has been added to your portfolio. >> so this is a breakout in progress. it got above long-term resistance, which was 48. i think it will hold that level, but we'll have to see. this is the highest level ebay has traded at, really, since april of 2022. it had been in this range between 38 and 50 since the summer of 2022. so this is basically a stock that can't get arrested. they've had literally no support on wall street. nobody wants to talk about it. it's ten times earnings.

joining me, josh brown, jenny harrington, bill baruch and brenda vingiella is back. let's check the markets. we are in the red as you see across the board. the data obviously did not go really in the direction of the bulls, but it hasn't upset the story in a great way either as you have ppi was slightly hotter. retail sales lighter. jobless claims lighter, too. you have yields moving up. take a look at the ten year, was 4.26. nvidia is lower. tesla is lower again down 5% this week. the worst s&p stock year to date. so we're watching all of that. the point being, as i turn to josh brown, you say it's not the place to look anyway, if you're thinking about where this next leg of the rally will come from, if you do believe one is in the offing, you say it will come from the small caps and that's where you are zeroed in for us today. >> small caps and value and cyclical. really, anything but tech is the beneficiary. they're going to keep using the companies atm witness, not because there's anything wrong fundamentally with the stories amongst the largest technology compan

joining me for the hour to discuss this and much more josh brown, kari firestone, bill baruch and kevin. our steve kovach is at cnbc headquarters with the headlines. steve? >>> microsoft right now launching its first artificial intelligence pcs. these are the surface pro 10 and the surface laptop 6. what makes them different and what isn't a term you can expect to hear a lot this year. they have a special chip inside called a npu that can provide a.i. tasks faster and more efficiently. in icrosoft's case that means co-pilot, of course, the digital assistant, built into windows 11 for business users and microsoft sells the copilot service for $30 per month. with the new a.i. pcs, they claim copilot has better battery life and if you've ever used copilot or another chatbot it can take several seconds or more to spit out the result after you give it a command and this is likely the first of many a.i. pcs we'll see. while they use intel chips. the bottom line, though, this is microsoft's attempt to get more businesses to pay for copilot promising better performances plus time-saving product
