robert handa will be showing us the impact in the bay area. let's begin today with the possible strike. 8500 nurses expected to walk off the job next week and the county's warning that it could have a significant impact on hospitals and clinics. ian cull spoke with both sides and joins us now. what are the main issues? >> this is something we have seen nurses negotiating contracts, this is the biggest problem including understaffing and pay. negotiations on a new contract began in august, but last month the talks dragged on with 97% of the registered nurse professional association voting to strike which will involve nurses at three santa clara county hospitals. the strike is set for april 2 through the fourth and the union says most units are chronically understaffed leading to nurses working longer hours and handling more patients. the union says it is pushing back on a proposal that would require nurses to rotate between hospitals. >> moving nurses from one hospital to another is unsafe for the patient and the nurse. we will not be able to u
