we take the plunge from the 80's at our warmest to just the low 60's by saturday. and along with that comes this rainfall. now models are in alignment of some pretty decent rainfall for the bay area and some low elevation. snow fall up in the sierra nevada. most of this on saturday before we clear back out on sunday. as for saturday's rainfall, the bay area will see anywhere between a 3rd to even 3 quarters of an inch of rain. well, the north coast, a couple hours north of us will see several inches of rain. so another big rainmaker in right in the middle of the weekend. that's where we seem to see the system is being placed. the sierra sees a decent snowfall that purple indicating the potential of 18 inches of it at the very top of donner summit as well as that go past these very high elevations, likely to have some chain controls in effect from friday night into saturday. so good travel days to the sierra will be friday and sunday. temperatures today range from the 50's and 60's at the coastline to some 70's and 80's atterbury. warmest today will be a little warm
