and this morning we're joined by san francisco chronicle columnist scott ostler about the say, hey kidod morning to you, scott. good morning. so scott, you know, one of the best things to hear about from folks when they share their memories is hearing about their favorite memories of willie mays. tell us about yours. >> well, i've got one memory. about seven years ago, dwight clark, the great, 49ers wide receiver, had basically received a death sentence. he was dying, and, he would be around another 6 or 8 months. and i had this idea to set up a new dwight. i had an idea to set up a photo shoot with dwight and willie, dwight had the catch. willie had his famous catch in 1951 called the catch. so i thought, hey, we got both these guys here. let's get up, have a picture of the two of them, each holding the photograph of his catch. and then i thought, well, you know, maybe we could make prints of these and sell them, for charity or whatever. and so i set it up. willie agreed to do it, but before just before the shoot, i was told, you know, you got to talk to willie. you got to call him. a
