i'm gia vang. well, after a year and a half of roadwork traffic headaches on 680 will soon be coming to an end. right now, several lanes between san ramon and pleasanton remain closed. that includes three southbound lanes of 680 between acosta boulevard and the five 8680 interchange in pleasanton, as well as one northbound lane. but crews are making progress in. caltrans says the road is set to open on time tomorrow at 4 a.m. before your morning commute, and these same lanes will be closed again two weekends from now, may 31st through june 3rd. but some good news a project is almost finished. this is part of ongoing roadwork that has intermittently closed the highway for weekends, dating back to december of 2022. june 3rd. expected to be the last scheduled road closure for this repaving project. on 680 in the north bay. a second highway closure is also finishing up on time. caltrans shut down westbound lanes of 37 on friday night for a major repaving project that's between vallejo and sears point.
