The Story of the Waffen SS. Leon Degrelle
Summer 1939 governments of Britain and France secretly negotiated a full military alliance with the Soviet Union. ... Talks held in Moscow minutes signed Marshal Zhukov.I have these minutes in my possession. They are stupefying. Report- promised Britain and France of Soviet participation against Germany. Upon ratification the Soviet Union was to provide the Anglo-French forces with Soviet support of 5500 combat planes plus the back up of Soviet air force. Between 10,000 tanks would also be made available. Soviet Union demanded the Baltic states , access to Poland. Planned early joint attack.
Germany little armed. The French said 10,000 Soviet tanks would destroy the 2000 German tanks but did not see that they would be unlikely to Stop at the French border. British government would let the Soviets take Europe.P14
